4. One of the most meaning of the many literary allusions in Fahrenheit 451 occurs when Montag reads Matthew Arnold'southward poem "Dover Embankment." What is the response of Mildred's friends, and why does Montag kick them out of his business firm?

When Montag reads the poem to Mildred's friends the room becomes very silent. But when he finishes and looks up he sees that 1 of the women is crying and the others are angry. Montag sees this but he doesnt kicking them out of his house because he got the reaction from the women that he wanted, he wanted them to think for themsleves and feel if they could, the emotions that come along with thinking for yourself about deep subjects.

After the fact that Montag read the melancholy poem to the dull, stupid women, they reacted differently.
One cried, ane was silent. Mildred was nervous about it, and however another woman was infuriated.
These women were not prepare or capable of this poem. They will not put thought into it, and what it means.
Might as well tell a preschooler to pave a route, it'south useless.
Montag grows silent, and some go out. I believe he kicks the others out of the house. These women take been used past the civilization: be happy, do fun things. Express joy! Watch the screens, accept fun, don't think.
Their minds are no longer able to think... They are fools.

When Montag read the poem to his wive'south friends they went into a sort of shock. 1 started crying uncontrollably and the other 2 started arguing against poetry in full general. This just serves to brand Montag more than angry at the clueless women, and he kicks them out. One woman vows to never come dorsum.

When Montag read the verse form i of his wives friends cries and the others got very angry. In that club in that location was a sure way to human action and past having your own opinions yous were considered an outsider. Then when his wives friends got aroused and were being rude Montag was offended so that'due south why he kicked them out.

Meldreds friends, in my opinion, over reacted. One began to cry considering it was so horrible and she never wanted to hear anything like that. She thought all poems were sad and depressing. The other two women in the room were getting very aroused. They wanted the non sence to cease, and just put it all backside them and have a party. Meldred said she would make drinks and they could go in the parlor and laugh it all off. Montag kicked them out of his house because of the is behavior. And then the crying women promised never to come back to the firemans business firm again in her life.
